Our WindWings® project is revolutionizing sail technology, offering a sustainable and efficient solution for large vessel propulsion. We are seeking a skilled PLC Control Systems Engineer to contribute to this pioneering initiative.
As a PLC Control Systems Engineer at BAR Technologies, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing control systems for our WindWings® project. You will work closely with a dedicated team of engineers to deliver sophisticated control solutions that enhance the performance and sustainability of large vessels. Responsibilities will include
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems for WindWings technology.
- Utilize industry-standard PLC programming environments to create robust and efficient control solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of control algorithms to guarantee optimal performance under various operating conditions.
- Provide technical expertise in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during the deployment and operational phases.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in PLC technology and control systems to continually enhance system capabilities.
We are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven expertise in PLC programming and control system design.
- Experience with industry-standard PLC platforms and development environments – Ideally Beckhoff.
- Knowledge of marine control systems and experience in the marine industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HMI design and integration for system monitoring and user interaction.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach to system design.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
