About

Simon leads the Technical Development at BAR Technologies and has done since co-founding the company in 2017. Simon graduated as a Naval Architect with a degree in Ship Science from the University of Southampton in 1999.

He spent 15+ years at the forefront of race yacht design, involved in multiple America’s Cup, Volvo Ocean Race, and Grand Prix Race Yacht Campaigns . Culminating in a leadership role as the Head of Design and Engineering for Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR), representing the UK in the 2017 America’s Cup in Bermuda.

Renowned for his visionary approach and innate engineering acumen, Simon’s direction has been instrumental in developing BAR’s world class technical team and in the successfully creation of the toolsets and product lines now available to company and its clients.
