Overview
BAR Technologies have partnered with Deltamarin to build and design a new optimised Aframax hull to make the most of wind power. Using wind propulsion technology will improve the vessel’s performance by 15% and significantly help decarbonise the shipping industry which strongly supports our sustainability vision.
With this new hull design and 4 WindWings® onboard, we predict that approximately 10 tonnes of fuel per day will be saved between long distances with favourable wind conditions such as a roundtrip from North America to Southampton.
