Control

Fully automated alignment and camber adjustment

Maximum Efficiency : Delivered by built-in automation and optimisation tools

Wing Control System (WCS)

Provides complete control automation, health safety and alarm monitoring. On vessel interface for manual wing interaction, maintenance processes etc.

ShipSEAT

Undertakes the performance aspects of the control, customised on a vessel-by-vessel basis. This bespoke code determines the optimum wing orientation and camber shape ensuring maximum fuel savings at all times. Additionally reports live trust values.

ShipSEATRouting

A custom state of the art routing package developed specifically for Wind Assisted Vessels. Assessable via a web interface, accessible either by a shore-based ops team and/or onboard with a variety of automated workflow tools to aid efficient use.

Active – Max Thrust

Producing thrust (up to 40 knots, and 50-knot gusts).

Active – Feathered

– zero lift, minimal drag – driven to align with wind (head wings, winds up to 100 knots, other scenarios where thrust is not desirable).

Passive Feathered (fail-safe behaviour)

– zero lift, minimal drag (doesn’t require power, used in case vessel blackout, control failure, other unexpected behaviours) or winds up to 100 knots.
