Senior Electrical Design Engineer

From reducing fuel consumption – measured in tonnes per day – on ocean going ships through our WindWings® technology and advanced efficiency optimisation methods, to enabling the growth of marine electrification with the implementation of our foiling and FOSS solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to this pioneering work. This role will be instrumental to the design of our current and exciting future projects, working alongside our industry leading experts to take ownership of marine electrical solutions, from concept through to production.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of large marine electrical installations, focusing on our innovative WindWings® product.
- Work with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel specific system variants.
- Work with ATEX rated installations to ensure compliance and safety in hazardous environments.
- Utilize professional drawing package EPlan.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into our cutting-edge marine technology solutions.
- Provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughout.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in marine or industrial control electrical installations, demonstrating a competence with electrical installations and panel design.
- Understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector.
- Experience in ATEX/IEC-Ex rated installations is desired
- Proficiency with professional drawing package EPlan is desired. Training can be provided if required.
- Knowledge of marine industry, powertrain electrification is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional team members.
